Access to Dearborn Street at Hanna Avenue to close next week

Indianapolis, Ind. (Oct. 8, 2025) – Access to Dearborn Street at Hanna Avenue is scheduled to close around 7 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 13.

The closure is necessary to continue work on the new Hanna Avenue bridge. Crews placed beams last month and are preparing for a concrete deck pour in the coming weeks.

An alternate route is available using Lasalle Street. Direct access at Hanna Avenue will reopen once the new bridge is complete late this fall.

Actual dates and anticipated work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances occur.
