Nightly closures of Morris Street and Prospect Street are scheduled this week for demolition of the northbound I-65 overpass bridge.
Morris Street and Prospect Street are scheduled to close nightly between St. Patrick Street and the southbound I-65 ramp Tuesday, Dec. 9 through Friday, Dec. 12. Closures are planned from 8 p.m. through 6 a.m. each night.
Crews are continuing to rehabilitate the overpass, including installing a new deck to extend the life of the bridge.
Actual dates and anticipated work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances occur.
Construction Speed Limit
The construction zone speed limit remains active on I-65. A reduced speed of 45 mph is in place for the duration of I-65 Safety and Efficiency work. It is important for drivers to slow down and avoid distractions in work zones.
