Northbound I-65 will close this weekend in southeast Indianapolis, the second in a series of weekend closures to complete drainage improvements beneath lanes of the interstate.
Northbound I-65 is scheduled to close from 9 p.m. on Friday, June 27 through 6 a.m. on Monday, June 30.

The closures extend from the I-65/I-465 interchange to the I-65/I-70 interchange and include the following northbound I-65 ramps:
- Eastbound I-465 to northbound I-65
- Westbound I-465 to northbound I-65
- Keystone Avenue entrance/exit ramps
- Raymond Street entrance/exit ramps
- Morris/Prospect exit ramp
Traffic will be detoured using I-465 and I-70. Drivers should look for signage along the roadway for guidance.
No closures are planned next weekend due to the Fourth of July holiday.
Additional I-65 Lane Restriction
Beginning on or after Sunday, June 29, northbound I-65 will be reduced to one lane between Morris Street (Exit 110B) and Virginia Avenue. The restriction will be in place through the rest of the year to allow crews to construct an additional travel lane in this location.

Actual dates and anticipated work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances occur. Drivers are encouraged to plan alternate routes and allow extra travel time, when possible.
Construction Speed Limit Now Active
The construction zone speed limit is now active on I-65. A reduced speed of 45 mph is in place for the duration of I-65 Safety and Efficiency work. It is important for drivers to slow down and avoid distractions in work zones.
