A mobile operation is scheduled overnight Friday on I-65 in southeast Indianapolis to allow crews to install pavement markings. The work will maintain safety and clarity for drivers.
Rolling lane closures are expected from 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27 to 6 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 28 on northbound and southbound I-65 between I-70 and I-465.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane at times as work moves along the corridor. Drivers should use caution and slow down in the area.
East Pleasant Run Parkway North Drive Closure Moving
Naomi Street and East Pleasant Run Parkway North Drive (eastbound lane) are closed between Olive Street and Linden Street so crews can safely widen the I-65 bridges over them.
Starting on or after Wednesday, Mar. 4, the Pleasant Run closure will shift west between Linden and Shelby streets. This allows crews to widen the opposite side of the I-65 bridge.
Naomi Street will remain closed in both directions between Olive and Linden streets and is expected to reopen in March.
Actual dates and anticipated work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances occur.
Construction Speed Limit
The construction zone speed limit remains active on I-65. A reduced speed of 45 mph is in place for the duration of I-65 Safety and Efficiency work. It is important for drivers to slow down and avoid distractions in work zones.
