Raymond Street ramp to southbound I-65 to close next week

The ramp from Keystone Avenue to northbound I-65 is expected to reopen by Saturday evening, June 20. This marks the completion of all four I-65 ramps being reconstructed and improved at Keystone Avenue.

Ramp improvements are continuing at Raymond Street. Beginning on or after Friday morning, June 26, the ramp from eastbound Raymond Street to northbound I-65 is scheduled to close. The reconstructed ramp is expected to reopen in October.

The improved ramp from westbound Raymond Street to southbound I-65 is expected to reopen in late September.

Overnight Ramp Closure at Morris and Prospect Streets

The ramp from Morris Street and Prospect Street to southbound I-65 to is scheduled to close overnight from 9 p.m. Thursday, June 18 to 5 a.m. Friday, June 19. The closure will allow crews to safely complete pavement repairs.  

Actual dates and anticipated work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances occur. Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead and seek alternate routes when possible.

Construction Speed Limit   
The construction zone speed limit remains active on I-65. A reduced speed of 45 mph is in place for the duration of I-65 Safety and Efficiency work. It is important for drivers to slow down and avoid distractions in work zones.
