Lane restrictions and a ramp closure are scheduled this week on I-65 in southeast Indianapolis as crews complete pavement and drainage repairs. Additionally, I-65 southbound will close at the south split for up to five hours for barrier repairs.
Drivers can expect the following restrictions:
Overnight Wednesday, June 10 (9 p.m. to 5 a.m.)
- Ramp from Morris Street to southbound I-65 closed for pavement repairs on I-65
Friday, June 12 – Sunday, June 14 (9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Sunday)
- I-65 northbound and southbound reduced to one lane between Keystone Avenue and Troy Avenue for drainage repairs
Overnight Friday, June 12 (11:59 p.m. to 5 a.m.)
- Southbound I-65 closed between Fletcher Avenue and Morris Street for barrier repairs
- Southbound I-65 traffic diverted to I-70
- Ramp from southbound I-65 to westbound I-70 reduced to one lane
Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead and seek alternate routes, when possible.
Actual dates and anticipated work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances occur.
Construction Speed Limit
The construction zone speed limit remains active on I-65. A reduced speed of 45 mph is in place for the duration of I-65 Safety and Efficiency work. It is important for drivers to slow down and avoid distractions in work zones.
