I-65 Safety and Efficiency crews are shifting traffic to new pavement on southbound I-65 between Keystone Avenue and the I-65/I-465 interchange. Restrictions will be needed overnight on Friday to complete the traffic shift and allow crews to operate safely.
After the shift is complete, the ramp from southbound I-65 to eastbound and westbound I-465 will reopen to two lanes.
The following closures are scheduled:
9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7 to 5 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 8
- Ramp from Keystone Avenue to southbound I-65 closed
- Southbound I-65 reduced to one lane between Keystone Avenue and the I-65/I-465 interchange
Drivers should plan ahead and consider alternate routes to avoid delays.
These closures are weather dependent. Actual dates and anticipated work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances occur.
Construction Speed Limit
The construction zone speed limit remains active on I-65. A reduced speed of 45 mph is in place for the duration of I-65 Safety and Efficiency work. It is important for drivers to slow down and avoid distractions in work zones.
