Ramp and lane closures are scheduled overnight Wednesday on northbound I-65 in southeast Indianapolis to move traffic to new roadway.
Traffic Shift
Drivers on northbound I-65 will notice a new traffic configuration between Bradbury Street and the I-65/I-70 interchange by Thursday morning, Dec. 18. Crews are shifting traffic onto the new inside lanes built this year to allow crews room to safely work on next phases of the project.
Wednesday, Dec. 17 | 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
- Ramps to and from Raymond Street and northbound I-65 closed
- Ramp from northbound I-65 to Morris Street and Prospect Street closed
- Northbound I-65 reduced to one lane between Bradbury Street and the I-65/I-70 interchange
Drivers should plan ahead and consider alternate routes to avoid delays.
Closures are weather dependent. Actual dates and anticipated work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances occur.
Construction Speed Limit
The construction zone speed limit remains active on I-65. A reduced speed of 45 mph is in place for the duration of I-65 Safety and Efficiency work. It is important for drivers to slow down and avoid distractions in work zones.
