Demolition work at Morris Street and Prospect Street

Overnight demolition work at the I-65 northbound bridge over Morris Street and Prospect Street continues this week. Crews are rehabilitating the I-65 bridge with a new deck and beams.

Morris Street and Prospect Street are scheduled to close nightly between St. Patrick Street and the southbound I-65 ramp from Thursday, August 7, through Saturday, August 9. Closures are planned between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. each night.

Actual dates and anticipated work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances occur. Drivers are encouraged to plan alternate routes and allow extra travel time, when possible.

Construction Speed Limit
The construction zone speed limit remains active on I-65. A reduced speed of 45 mph is in place for the duration of I-65 Safety and Efficiency work. It is important for drivers to slow down and avoid distractions in work zones.
