Crews will continue to set beams on the northbound I-65 bridge over Morris and Prospect streets this week as part of the I-65 Safety and Efficiency project in southeast Indianapolis.
Overhead bridge work on the new Hanna Avenue bridge over I-65 is also scheduled overnight on Monday, Sept. 15, and Tuesday, Sept. 16.
Drivers can expect the following restrictions:
Monday, Sept 15 to Friday, Sept. 19 (8 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night)
- Morris Street and Prospect Street closed between the I-65 entrance and exit ramps
Monday, Sept. 15 (9 p.m. to 5 a.m.)
- Right lane closure on southbound I-65 between the I-65/I-465 interchange and Hanna Avenue
Tuesday, Sept. 16 (9 p.m. to 5 a.m.)
- Left lane closure on northbound I-65 between the I-65/I-465 interchange Hanna Avenue
Drivers should plan ahead and consider alternate routes to avoid delays.
Actual dates and anticipated work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances occur.
Construction Speed Limit
The construction zone speed limit remains active on I-65. A reduced speed of 45 mph is in place for the duration of I-65 Safety and Efficiency work. It is important for drivers to slow down and avoid distractions in work zones.
