Crews will set beams on two bridges this week as part of the I-65 Safety and Efficiency project in southeast Indianapolis.
Bridge beams will be installed on the rehabilitated northbound I-65 bridge over Morris and Prospect streets and on the new Hanna Avenue bridge over I-65.
Drivers can expect the following overnight restrictions:
Wednesday, Sept. 10 | 11:59 p.m. to 5 a.m.
- Short stoppages lasting up to 20 minutes on northbound I-65 between the I-65/I-465 interchange and Hanna Avenue
Thursday, Sept. 11 and Friday, Sept. 12 | 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
- Morris Street and Prospect Street closed between the southbound I-65 on-ramp and Leonard Street
Actual dates and anticipated work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances occur. Drivers should plan ahead and consider alternate routes to avoid delays.
Construction Speed Limit
The construction zone speed limit remains active on I-65. A reduced speed of 45 mph is in place for the duration of I-65 Safety and Efficiency work. It is important for drivers to slow down and avoid distractions in work zones.
